Smart Manufacturing System Lab

MDIC joined Smart Machine Networking Project and thus established Smart Manufacturing System Lab in 2018. It is the first in Taiwan to embed smart manufacturing technology in the digital dentistry ecosystem. It forms a platform for process scheduling and task assignment, enabling multi-point processing, traceability, utilization rate monitoring, abnormal monitoring, data capture, and big data analysis, creating value for the manufacturers and the management.

The platform is built in the Cloud of NCHC (National Center for High-performance Computing). The administrator from this digital design center could just add task order online and select processing plans like machine, tool holders, and materials. As the order is approved, scheduling and CAM Profile design will be calculated and uploaded to the platform, where the administrator could easily dispatch the works to on-site designated machines and fulfill multi-point manufacturing.
