Medical Device Innovation-Biodesign Courses

 

Interdisciplinary Courses

The objective of education at the MDIC is to promote not only to lead the industrial economy associated with medical device development in Taiwan, but also to cultivate high potential talents for innovating medical equipment. To further strengthen and enhance incubation in gaining knowledge of the medical device innovation a certificate program of system in medical device which integrate with teaching, research and industry- academy was proceeded by integrating the current Center’s task forces with various members across countries, colleges and departments of various campuses as well as the Innovation Center for Medical Devices and Technology of the University at NCKU Hospital. The program is specifically designed for junior and senior undergraduate students to focus on five main study areas such as engineering biology, biomechanics, biomaterials, biomedical electronics and biomedical systems. To complete the program, at least one course in each area of study is required, and up to a total of six courses is necessary to fulfill the certificate program requirements.

Special Provisions
1. These courses are elective for graduate students.
2. At least one elective course should be taken from the following five main categories: Biological Engineering, Biomechanics, Bio-Medical materials, Bio-medical Electronics, and Bio-medical System.  At least 6 courses in total will be elective.
